Astringent until ripe similar to other American persimmon varieties. Very high quality fruit is juicy and custard like in texture with a rich flavor. This excellent variety is from the Nikita Botanic Garden in Yalta, Ukraine. Self fertile fruit is hardy zones 5-11.
